This calculator gives a rough estimate for illustration only, using the 2026/27 tax figures (estate duty abatement R3.5 million at 20%, and 25% above R30 million; CGT exclusions of R440 000 in the year of death and R3 million on a primary residence, as announced in the 2026 Budget). It does not consider your will, trusts, your marital regime (in or out of community of property, accrual), a late spouse's unused abatement, retirement funds, foreign assets or business interests. It is not financial, tax or legal advice. Book a consultation for a full estate calculation.

This calculator gives an estimate for illustration only, using the 2026/27 SARS income tax tables and retirement lump sum tax tables, and today's fund values (no future growth). Actual tax is determined by SARS through a tax directive. It assumes your previous lump sums were taxed under these tables, and does not consider fund rules, debts deducted by the fund, emigration or other special cases. A savings pot withdrawal must be at least R2 000, and you may make one per tax year. It is not financial or tax advice.
